Contrary to popular myth, the Occupy Movement is focused and making progress. Why, then, do you hear that the Occupy Movement is "unfocused"?

Because the game is rigged.

The press covers political conflict as entertainment news. The press has little tolerance for nuanced discussion. The list of damaged public institutions is quite lengthy while attention spans today are limited. The media, on limited budgets, knows that is more profitable to caricature than to conduct research.

The Goverment-Corporate Corruption Complex is a generation in the making and has created a strong and dense fabric. It will take quite a bit of work over several years to decode and unravel it.

As one of our members said, "This is not a sprint. This is a marathon." To cure America of its crippling corruption, we must drop our comfortable (and somewhat useless) labels -- Republican, Democrat, liberal, conservative -- and focus on the one thing we all agree on: our government has been bought by the highest bidders, and those bidders do not seem to care what happens to the rest of us.

Against laissez-faire fracking? You need to Occupy.

Concerned about out-of-control health care costs? You need to Occupy.

Shocked that huge financial institutions toy with trillions, criminally but with impunity? You need to Occupy.

We conduct polite, pleasant Occupations weekly around Jackson, an hour or two of enjoyable conversation and hoopla. (It's winter, after all.) We conduct regular meetings to discuss The Big Picture. We would like you to join us. Your country needs you to join us.
