Welcome to the all-purpose not-Facebook web site for Occupy JH, live from Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Occupy JH joins a thousand-plus community Occupations worldwide.

Contrary to popular myth, the Occupy Movement has meaning and value. Why, then, do you hear that Occupy is “unfocused”? Because the game is rigged.

• The press covers political conflict as entertainment news.
• The press has little tolerance for nuanced discussion.
• The list of corruptions is quite lengthy.
• The Goverment-Corporate Corruption Complex is a generation in the making and has created a strong and dense fabric. It will take quite a bit of work and several years to unravel it.

As one of our members said, “This is not a sprint. This is a marathon.” To cure America of its crippling corruption, we must drop our comfortable (if somewhat useless) labels — Republican, Democrat, liberal, conservative — and focus on the one thing we all agree on: our government has been bought by the highest bidders, and those highest bidders do not seem to care what happens to the rest of us.

Against fracking? You need to Occupy.

Suffering from out-of-control health care costs? You need to Occupy.

Shocked that huge banks toy with trillions, criminally and with impunity? You need to Occupy.

We conduct polite, pleasant Occupations weekly around Jackson, an hour of enjoyable conversation and hoopla. (It’s winter.) We conduct regular meetings to discuss The Big Picture, and to plan little gestures like this very web site. We would like you to join us. Your country needs you to join us.
